Bountiis, a charitable organisation dedicated to caregiving and community service, is set to host the seventh edition of its annual Muslimah Health Forum in Lagos, with a focus on combating health misinformation, promoting preventive healthcare and encouraging early detection of medical conditions among women.
The forum, themed “The Wellness Code,” is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lagos State Central Mosque Complex, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The organisers said the event would bring together women, medical professionals, public health experts and community leaders to discuss pressing health challenges, particularly the growing influence of social media and artificial intelligence on health information and personal wellness decisions.
Described as a day of truth, healing and sisterhood, the forum will provide a platform for participants to engage healthcare professionals, address misconceptions and acquire practical knowledge for improving their physical and mental well-being.
Discussions will focus on wellness in the age of social media and AI, stress and burnout, disease prevention and early detection, hormonal health and healthy ageing.
A major highlight of the programme will be a panel discussion titled “The Exhausted Woman: Stress, Sleep, Fatigue and Mental Overload,”** which will examine the physical, psychological and lifestyle factors contributing to exhaustion among women.
One of the featured speakers, Dr. Bakare Aminah Kehinde, a Consultant Neurologist, Stroke Physician and Public Health Expert, will discuss the relationship between brain health, stress, sleep disturbances and persistent fatigue.
Her presentation is expected to help participants better understand the possible medical and neurological factors associated with prolonged exhaustion and the importance of seeking appropriate professional assessment.
Another speaker, Dr. Bolanle Omowunmi Ottun, FIDN, RDN, PhD, Deputy Director and Clinical Dietitian Nutritionist at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), will examine the nutritional dimensions of fatigue and burnout.
