TMS Foundation Inaugurates National Leadership to Promote Tinubu’s Reforms
The Tinubu Movement for Sustainable Governance Foundation (TMS), popularly known as Tinubu Must Stay (TMS), has inaugurated its national leadership as a civic-driven platform to promote policy continuity, sustainable governance and public understanding of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The inauguration, held in Abuja on Monday, unveiled a two-tier governance structure comprising a Board of Trustees, National Coordinators and six specialized directorates to drive the Foundation’s mandate of mobilizing broad-based citizen participation in support of the continuation of the President’s transformative reforms beyond 2027.
The Foundation will operate under the banner of “Tinubu Must Stay” for continuity, sustainability and prosperity, while countering organized political opposition through lawful civic engagement and data-driven advocacy.
The new leadership is headed by the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, who will serve as Chairman and National Coordinator and overall head of the movement.
He is joined by the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoye, as National Coordinator South, with the position of National Coordinator North still under deliberation.
Speaking at the inauguration, Kashifu said the movement was conceived to enlighten Nigerians on the necessity of sustaining reforms.
“Our movement is built on enlightening Nigerians on the President’s reforms and the need for sustainability. Reforms are not a one-off event; it’s a journey and it takes time to see the actual benefit,” Kashifu said.
He noted that if Nigeria’s history is examined, the only successful sub-national reform that translated into sustained economic growth is Lagos State, a foundation laid by President Tinubu.
“President Tinubu has taken bold decisions that Nigeria has been contemplating for over 60 years. We have someone who has taken that bold decision and we have already started seeing the benefits. What we need to do is analyze these reforms, get more insight and intelligence and share with the public,” he added.
Kashifu explained that the Foundation will adopt a technology-driven and evidence-based approach, engaging Nigerians through virtual town hall meetings and physical grassroots outreach.
He said the group will simplify complex economic indicators like GDP growth into relatable, everyday benefits for rural communities.
“We want to be different in the way we do our activities. If you are going to the rural communities, you have to connect the benefits of reform to what matters to them. People will ask, ‘there is improvement in GDP, but how does that translate to our daily life?’ We need to bring that down to them through data,” he stated.

In his remarks, Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoye lamented that many achievements of the Tinubu administration remain unreported and unappreciated due to poor communication.
Dr. Nwoye, who oversees party management and mobilization for 17 Southern states and served as Director of Party Mobilization (South) in the Presidential Campaign Council, said the Foundation has a critical role in filling the communication gap.
“A lot has been done by this government, but the unfortunate thing is that they are not even well communicated. We all struggle with this. This organization will do well in picking those pieces of information,” Nwoye said.
He listed some of the underreported interventions to include direct federal disbursements to states, the N25,000 monthly stipend to vulnerable Nigerians, and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
“Many states have received a little over N15 billion paid directly to people in Nigeria, and that is the first time. Some states have received as much as N10 billion. People are receiving money every month — N25,000. We don’t talk about it. Nobody talks about it. And in many states, it is done without publicity,” he said.
On education reform, Nwoye described NELFUND as unprecedented in Nigeria’s history.
“If you don’t have to defer education due to economic reasons because now you can go to school with 100 percent backed, interest-free loan. Any public school, no matter what course, it never happened before, and the money is paid directly to the school. It is only in advanced countries that you see this happen,” he noted.
Nwoye commended the leadership of the Foundation for adopting a grassroots, technology-driven approach to civic education.
He cited Enugu State, his home state, as a beneficiary of federal reforms enabled by President Tinubu.
“I am from Enugu State. We are now proud to say that we are the fastest growing state in the whole nation. The reforms going on in Enugu State would not be possible if not for the policies put together by President Bola Tinubu,” he said.
“Enugu Air is not even able to meet the demand and they are already going international. By the end of this year, they will fly to China. The state has built 268 smart schools. It would not be possible if we don’t have the right policies at the top,” he added.
He stressed that the movement must outlive the Tinubu administration and become a legacy institution.
“This has to go beyond the two terms of President Bola Tinubu because what he is doing is a legacy. It is a huge legacy,” Nwoye declared.
The Foundation unveiled its vision as “to build a prosperous, secure, and globally competitive Nigeria through sustainable governance, policy continuity, strong institutions, and inclusive development, inspired by the reforms, initiatives, and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
The Foundation’s mission is to promote the gains and long-term objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda through strategic communication, civic engagement, policy research, leadership development, and community mobilization.
The new leadership announced that it will commence full operations immediately with both virtual and physical engagements nationwide.
