DEPOWA Charges Graduating Students to be Good Ambassadors of Alma Mater
The President of the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs.Oghogho Musa has charged the youth to embrace the role of being exemplary ambassadors that will shape a bright future for Nigeria development.
She spoke at DEPOWA Primary & Secondary School, graduation ceremony in Abuja, on Friday.
Mrs. Musa urged the students to take up the mantle of leadership as torchbearers of positive change in their communities.
She emphasized the significance of education as a powerful tool that can drive societal transformation.
Musa said, “students are the future leaders of this great nation, you hold within you the power to steer Nigeria towards progress and development.

“I urge each one of you to be good ambassadors not only for your families and schools but also for our beloved country. Embrace the values of discipline, integrity, and resilience, for these are the virtues that will guide you towards a brighter future.”
While acknowledging the efforts of teachers, Mrs. Musa emphasized that teachers are not just dispensers of knowledge but mentors, guides, and confidants.
“Behind every successful student, there is a passionate teacher who has invested time, effort, and love into their growth,” she noted. “Teachers are the architects of dreams, and their dedication deserves our utmost respect”.
On her part, Commandant DEPOWA, Roqibat Akerele-Alatise, commended Mrs. Oghogho’s relentless dedication in supporting the schools, which she said has translated in ensuring that the DEPOWA school continue to stand as beacons of excellence.
Akerele-Alatise, however urged the students to make the most of the opportunities provided to them.
