NIPR’s Governing Council: Ten Current Council Members Drop from the Race Ahead of the 2023 Election

About 10 members of the current Governing council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) have voluntarily withdrawn from the forthcoming elections.

This comes as the anticipated 2023 NIPR Annual General Meeting Conference/Elections is scheduled for August 24, 2023.

PRNigeria gathered that the decision to withdraw from the race stems from their nonparticipation in the nomination and screening exercises for the elections

Others are Dr. Joseph Fanafa, Alhaji Kabiru Garba Aminu, Mr. Ohaeri Osondu, Mr. Osuji Sunny Dominic, and Rev. Fr. Prof. Boniface Obiefuna have also stepped back from the electoral race.

PRNigeria learned that the collective decision is in line with NIPR’s commitment to inject fresh perspectives and vitality into its Governing Council which created an opportunity for new voices to shape the future of the body.

Meanwhile, some of the leading contenders for the Presidency of the image-making institute are Mrs. Nkechi Ali-Balogun of the Lagos Chapter and Dr. Ike Neliaku of the FCT Chapter.
