Updated: NAF Aircraft, Ground Troops Trail Abductors of Zamfara Varsity Students
Hours after the abduction of students of Federal University Gusau (FUGUS), ground troops and aircraft of the Nigerian Airforce (NAF) have suceeded in trailing the bandits.
A defence intelligence source confirmed the development to PRNigeria.

The source said: “While some of the students have been rescued by the ground troops, the military aircraft currently conduct Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions as well as interdiction missions targetted at the escape routes and enclaves of the terrorists.”

Again, Bandits Abduct Varsity Students in Zamfara
Armed bandits have abducted students of Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) in Zamfara State in the early hours of Friday, September 22.
PRNigeria gathered that the bandits attacked hostels accomodating students at the Sabon Gida area at about 3 a.m. on Friday and started shooting sporadically.
Though troops later pursuid and engaged the bandits hours after they were alerted.
