CDS Urges Traditional Rulers to Join Fight Against Crime in FCT
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has called on traditional rulers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to sensitize their subjects on the need to support security agencies with actionable information.
Gen. Musa made the call when he received a courtesy visit from the Ona of Abaji and Chairman of the FCT Council of Chiefs, HRH Alhaji Adamu Baba, on Thursday, in Abuja.

In a statement, the Director, Defence Information, Brigadier General, Tukur Gusau said the CDS thanked the traditional rulers for their visit and said that although security is everybody’s business, there is a need for them to play a key role in mobilizing their subjects to support the security agencies.
He implored them to take community policing seriously in order to address issues of criminality in the FCT.
Earlier, the Ona of Abaji had expressed his concern on the increasing rate of criminality in Abuja, particularly the ‘one-chance’ criminals, and called on the CDS to do more to make the city safer.
He also appreciated the CDS and the Armed Forces for their dedication in fighting insecurity in the nation and the FCT in particular.
