Calls for Entry: 30 Under 30 Arewa Stars Award and Conference 2023
The Arewa Agenda for sustainable development, a publication of young writers and journalists in Northern Nigeria in collaboration with PRNigeria and DAILY NIGERIAN officially announces the call for entry for the second edition of the debut of 30 under 30 Arewa Star Awards (ASA2023) and Conference.
The award is instituted to honour thirty outstanding young best and brightest Northern Nigerians under 30 years of age doing great and impactful work in various sectors of human endeavours.
In a statement by Arewa Agenda’s convener, Mohammed Dahiru Lawal, “the grand award will hold in December in Kano and it promises to be the biggest convergence of northern impact makers, philanthropists and mentors across the country.”

The Arewa Stars Award and Conference on “Leveraging Emerging Technologies to Drive Innovation and Sustainable Development,” will recognise 30 exceptional young persons under 30 years of age who will grab 30 awards in 30 different categories that include; Media, Education, Politics, Social Media Influencer, Fashion and Design, Entertainment, Fintech, Legal-Law, Event Management and Innovation.
Other categories are; Entrepreneurship, Medicine (Public Health), Banker, Agriculture, Interior decoration, Hotelier, Sports, Accounting, Architecture, and Engineering.
Others include; Actor, Actress, Art/painting, Humanitarian/philanthropy, Makeup/beauty, Hand Craft (shoemaking- dye-ing-bag making), Photography, Social activism/work, ICT and Real Estate.
The grand event will feature the 30 under 30 Awards, Panel Discussions, Disruptive Tech Exhibit, Honorary and, Entertainment (Music, filmmaking, videography).
Entries can also nominate organisations, individuals and philanthropists supporting young people for honorary recognition awards.
Winners of the grand prize for each category will become our ambassadors for sustainable development and will be branded as “Arewa Stars.”
Entry closes on November 8th 2023 and voting for winners begins one week after, based on a shortlist of finalists from the panel of judges.
The Panel of Judges comprises seasoned experts, humanitarian service providers, scholars and industry players.
