North-East Media Honours Gen Buratai, Irabor, Shehu of Borno, Others
YERWA COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED, publisher of YERWA EXPRESS NEWS, (YENews) will hold a public lecture on Digital Media as part of activities to mark its One Year anniversary.
YENews is so far the only registered indigenous print and online media organization headquartered in the North East (Nigeria), besides state-owned tv and radio stations.
YENews was established October 2016 to provide the region with an effective media organization that will adequately cover and report everyday happenings of the people ranging from culture, history, politics, entertainment, lifestyle and much more.
Part of its mandate also is to promote good governance, keep local communities informed about what matters to their lives and most importantly, create employment opportunities.
In the last one year, as part of our resolve, our major focus was Borno where our head office is located. The reason is not unconnected with the fact that we were starters and making ‘experiments’ as at then. Notwithstanding, we have made efforts at expanding our outreach to other states in the region particularly Yobe, Gombe, Taraba and Bauchi.
In the event, YENews will also unveil its plans for the next year and beyond.
The presentation which will talk about Digital Media in the North East will be made by Mohammed Ali.
