PROWA Pays Fines for Freedom of 26 inmates
The Prisons Officers’ Wives Association (PROWA) in conjunction with Legacy Pension managers paid fines for 26 inmates jailed with the option of fine in Nasarawa State command.
Speaking at the occasion, the National President of PROWA Hajiya Gwamma Ja’afaru said “this is our quota towards the decongesting the over crowded prisons in Nigeria.
“our husbands are faced with the danger of contracting diseases, or other related harms in the work place hence the need to assist them in our own little way ”

PROWA has been into youth empowerment through organization of seminars, apprenticeship program and provision of jobs.
The state Controller of Nasarawa State, CP Aliyu Anchor was full of praises for this kind gesture and encouraged the women to keep up the good work and he charged the beneficiaries to be of good behavior as they returned to the larger society.
The Legacy Pension Manager Ltd said this is part of their corporate social responsibility and that they are happy investigating in lifes of the helpless of the society and promised to extend this to other Command.
