    850 Students Enjoying Shekarau Educational Scholarship Complete NCE

    About 850 students sponsored by the former Kano Central Senator, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, have completed their National Certificates of Education, NCE, program.

    The beneficiaries who were drawn from the 15 local government areas within the Senatorial district received their certificates of completion during a grand ceremony held at Mambayya House in Kano State.

    Recall that Malam Shekarau was the Governor of Kano State between 2003-2011. He also represented Kano Central District at the red chamber between 2019-2023.

    PRNigeria gathered that, the former Minister of Education initiated the program in order to boost teaching and learning in the state.

    According to Malam Shekarau, this present effort is one out of many initiatives executed by his office while serving as lawmaker at the red chamber.

    “As part of our efforts to boost education, we have constructed many blocks of classrooms and staff offices across our domain while in office. Not only that, we also renovated a lot and provided the necessary teaching and learning facilities.” Shekarau added.

    PRNigeria reports that the occasion was attended by many dignitaries, academics and students in which commendation letters were issued to coordinators of the program across the 15 the LGAs.
