Job Creation is Our Top Priority – Special Duties Minister
The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Zephaniah B. Jisalo, has stated that job creation is a top priority for the ministry’s strategic plan.
The Minister made this known during his welcome address at the unveiling Of the Ministry’s Strategic Plan, themed “Strategic Plan 2024-2028: Catalysing The Realization of The Renewed Hope Agenda,” held on Wednesday, in Abuja.
According to him, “our focus aligns with the key principles of job creation, innovation, economic growth, social development, sustainability, and inclusivity, particularly, for the youth and vulnerable populations to combat extremism and promote national security.”
Hon. Zephaniah equally added that “the strategies encompass bolstering local production, reducing imports, supporting our farmers, nurturing emerging sectors, empowering the vulnerable, and ensuring accessable health care, education and housing.
“Further more, it underscores the importance of collaboration and partnership, harnessing the collective strength of governments, businesses, civil society, and citizens alike.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda resonates with the essence of our Ministry and we strive to be the catalyst for realizing its objectives.” He added.

In the same vein, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Ibiene P. Roberts, in her welcome address outlines the Ministry’s programs inline with the eight priority areas of the “Renewed Hope” agenda of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
According to her, “the plan which is costed will be implemented for the next five years, (2023 – 2028).
“It is arranged into four strategic pillars, eight priority areas with eight goals, thirteen strategic objectives and thirteen interventions with a total of eighty-two key activities.
“This strategic plan reflects our shared commitment to achieving the transformative vision set forth by Mr. President. Through our collective efforts, we shall strive to realize the objectives and aspirations of the”Renewed Hope” Agenda for a better and more prosperous Nigeria.”
The Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs is responsible for monitoring and approving payments for constituency projects, as well as evaluating policies and projects across government bodies. The ministry also fosters harmonious relations between different levels of government and international entities.
Notable attendees at the event includes the HRH Dr. Adamu Baba Yanusa, the royal father of the day, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, Director General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, and Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, among others.
