Senator Buba Condemns Killing of Bauchi Village Head, Wants Culprits Prosecuted
The Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Buba, has condemned the killing of the Village Head of Riruwai community, Alhaji Garba Badamasi, by suspected gunmen.
Alh. Badamasi, the village head of Riruwai in Toro local government area, LGA, of Bauchi state, was abducted last Friday when gunmen stormed his village and also attacked his palace.
The abductors were said not to have contacted any of his family members for a ransom payment.
His lifeless body was later recovered by those who had embarked on the search for him in the bush around the village.
His corpse was then brought to the palace of the District Head of Lame in Gumau on Sunday for funeral prayers and subsequent burial in accordance with Islamic injunctions.

Mourning the tragic demise of the Bauchi community head, Senator Buba, in a statement, urged the security agencies to be proactive in tracking and arresting those who eliminated Alh. Badamasi.
According to him, the security agencies must ensure justice is served to those behind the dastardly act, with a view to cushioning the traumatic pain of the village head’s family, relatives and associates.
While describing the late Alh. Badamasi as a “community head passionate about enhancing the welfare of his people and also the growth of Bauchi state,” Senator Buba, prayed Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and also forgive his shortcomings.
“I am calling on our security agencies to do everything possible, and ensure the killers of the Riruwai village head are all arrested. They should be made to pay for their heartless action,” he said.
