Petrol Marketers Free 28 Prison Inmates in Minna
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) Niger state branch has paid fines of 28 prison inmates serving various jail terms in the Medium security prison Minna.
The Association, led by its branch chairman Alh. Ahmed Erena secured the freedom of the inmates after paying their fines amounting to Five Hundred and Twenty eight thousands Naira(#528,000) Alh Erena,advised those released to be of good conduct and avoid any act capable of bringing them back to prison.
The ex convicts received One thousand naira each(#1000) to Assist them reach their communities.

He further commended the the prison authority for their efforts in Reformation, Rehabilitation of inmates. In his remarks, the officer in charge MSP MINNA DCP Garba T.Abubakar thanked the association for their concern to the indigent inmates. He added that it would go along way in decongesting the prison.
In another development, the controller of prisons Niger state command Baba Gana received the newly posted zonal coordinator in charge zone D ACG AMALIRI I IFEANYI at the state headquarters Minna.
CP Baba Gana assured him of the commands continuous support in maintaining the existing peaceful atmosphere.
The ACG further called on the staff to be more dedicated and discipline in order to achieve the mission and vision of Nigeria Prison service under the able leadership of the CGP Ja’afaru Ahmed who has zero tolerance for indiscipline.
ACG AMALIRI was on a familiarization tour of commands under his watch which comprises Niger, Kwara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara and the Fct.
