How Communication Manager Can fight Misinformation – DG BPSR

Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, has emphasized the crucial role of communication managers in shaping public perception and combating misinformation in government ministries.

In his welcome address at a one-day capacity-building program, Arabi stressed the importance of effective communication and the Official Secrets Acts in maintaining confidentiality and national security.

According to the DG, “communication managers play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of information dissemination and fostering effective communication within and outside government entities.”

Arabi said: “Communication managers are expected to collaborate closely with other departments to ensure that confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately, upholding the principles outlined in the official secrets Acts and contributing to national security.”
