Senator Buba Demands Justice for Slain Charcoal Seller, Announces Road Projects
Senator Shehu Umar Buba, representing Bauchi South District, has vowed to ensure justice for a charcoal seller killed by members of a quasi-security outfit and his injured constituents. He made this promise during a condolence visit to the victim’s family in Zaranda community, Toro Local Government.
Buba condemned the extra-judicial killing and urged authorities to bring the perpetrators to book. He also announced that construction of three rural roads in his constituency would commence within two weeks.

The incident, which occurred earlier in the week, involved members of the Nigerian Hunters Forestry and Security Service, who allegedly arrested a charcoal dealer, leading to a shootout that resulted in the death of Abubakar Yahaya and injured three others.
The Bauchi Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that the injured victims were taken to a nearby health center, where Abubakar Yahaya succumbed to his injuries.
During his visit, Senator Buba revealed that three road construction projects would be flagged off in the next two weeks, including the Corner Maaji Shittu-Jaji Nabordo road and another in Rimi Zayam Goljudo to Alhaji DanBaba’s residence at Zaranda. He noted that if the state government had already commenced work on one of the roads, he would redirect his project to another location within the same town.
