Ribadu, Chadian Govt Collaborate Against Regional Insecurity
The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has led a high-level military delegation to Chad on Sunday to meet with President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.
This meeting is to strengthen bilateral ties and address pressing security concerns between the two nations.
During the meeting, Ribadu delivered a written message from Nigerian President Bola Tinubu to President Déby, highlighting the importance of cooperation in tackling regional security challenges.

In a statement by Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) posted on official X handle, formerly Twitter confirmed the visit.
According to the statement, President Tinubu in the message expressed his heartfelt condolences and unwavering support for the Chadian President and people following the recent terrorist attack on Barkaram Island, which claimed the lives of several Chadian soldiers.
“This meeting underscores the strong ties between Chad and Nigeria, especially in addressing regional security challenges and combating terrorism.
“Both nations remain committed to strengthening collaboration to promote peace and stability in the Lake Chad Basin region,” it stated.
