During the meticulously coordinated air and ground  clearance  operations, own air component successfully targeted and  interdicted several armed and   wounded terrorists on motor bikes  regrouping in Guzamala. In  a follow-up  ground operation,  troops eliminated  15 terrorists and one captured alive as they attempted to flee after sustaining more injuries. The troops also destroyed three additional Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs), bringing the total number of VBIEDs destroyed to 7.

The operation led to the capture of a significant cache of weapons, including 7 AK-47 rifles, one Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) bomb and tube, 2 Anti-aircraft guns, and 152 Shilka rounds of ammunition .

The ongoing clearance  operation marks a decisive step in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in the region, further weakening the terrorists ranks. The MNJTF remains steadfast in its  commitment  to eradicating terrorist threats and ensuring the safety of the local population.
