Onne Customs Command Surpasses Revenue by Generating N634billion in 2024
The Nigeria Customs Service, Area 2 Command, Onne, has concluded a successful year with a significant increase in revenue collection and a strong record in anti-smuggling operations.
In a press briefing held on December 31, 2024, Customs Area Controller Mohammed Babandede highlighted the command’s achievements, including:
Revenue Collection: The command surpassed its 2024 revenue target of 618 billion Naira, generating a total of 634 billion Naira, representing a 103% achievement rate and a 98% increase compared to 2023.

On Personnel Recognition, the command received recognition from the Comptroller-General of Customs, including being named the best Command in anti-smuggling operations and the promotion of numerous officers.
Controller Babandede attributed these successes to the dedication of his officers, effective stakeholder engagement, and collaborative efforts with other agencies. He expressed optimism for continued success in 2025.
