
NIPR National Secretariat Project Progressing Steadily—Prof. Dandaura
The Chairman of the National Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) National Secretariat Building Task Team, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, has commended the steady progress of the ongoing construction of the NIPR National Secretariat.
Professor Dandaura, who also serves as the Vice President of NIPR, gave the commendation during an inspection tour of the construction site at Radio House, Abuja. He applauded the site engineers for their dedication and noted that the incorporation of a smart office component into the project is a remarkable innovation that will transform the secretariat into a state-of-the-art facility upon completion.
“The commitment of the project team is commendable. The smart office component will enhance efficiency and ensure that the NIPR National Secretariat meets the highest global standards in public relations administration,” he stated.
Accompanying him on the tour were prominent professionals, including:
Professor Uche Mbanaso, a Professor of Cybersecurity and Computing, and Managing Director/CEO of First Digit Communications, Abuja; Professor Jonathan Agber – Adviser on Power and Renewable Energy to the Benue State Government and Professor Nwojo Agwu Nnanna – Head of the Computer Science Department, Nile University of Nigeria.
The delegation expressed excitement over the project’s advancement and pledged technical support to ensure that the smart office vision is fully realized.

During the task team’s inauguration, NIPR President and Chairman of Council, Dr Ike Neliaku, described the project as a historic milestone for the Institute.
Dr Neliaku expressed gratitude to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, and technical partners Mesotho Group of Companies and SNECOU Group for their dedication.
Located within the prestigious Radio House complex in Abuja’s Central Business District, the complex will also host the NIPR Television and the Abuja liaison office of the proposed University of Public Relations and Leadership, supported by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
Apart from Professor Dandaura who leads the task team responsible for overseeing the construction and equipping of the complex, other members include Council Members Mrs Olubunmi Badejo, Mallam Bashir Chedi, Hajiya Maryam Sanusi, Comrade Ini Ememobong, and Dr Suleiman Haruna.
Other members are Dr Sunny Baba, Arc Lawrence Chukwuemeka, Mr Solomon Dogo of Mesotho Group, representatives of the FRCN Director-General and SNECOU Group, and the committee secretary, Chidinma Awak.
