2025 Women’s Day: NIPR Pledges to Empower Female PR Practitioners

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has reiterated its commitment to empowering female public relations practitioners.

This is as the world celebrates the 2025 International Women’s Day.

In a statement issued by the President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, today Abuja, the institute pledged to create more opportunities for women to showcase their talents and contribute to national development.

“At the NIPR, we firmly uphold the principle of gender equity based on merit, driven by character and competence,” Dr. Neliaku said.

“We will strive to make available more platforms where female practitioners can contribute to national development and shape the future of public relations in Nigeria and beyond.”

Dr. Neliaku also called on governments and private organizations to make deliberate efforts to create level playing grounds to accelerate action on gender equity.

The NIPR President commended the outstanding contributions of women to the growth and development of the public relations profession, saying, “Women have contributed immensely to the growth and development of our profession and Institute, and we wish to use this opportunity to celebrate our outstanding amazons for their individual and collective professional achievements.”
