Navy Troops Crack Down on Drug Peddlers in Lagos, Arrests 27
The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT has apprehended 27 suspected drug peddlers in a coordinated raid in Gidan Drama, Malu Road, Apapa, Lagos State.
The operation was carried out on April 5, based on credible intelligence and involved the deployment of Operation MESA.
According to the Navy, the suspects, comprising 24 males and 3 females, were found with hard drugs and other illicit substances.
The raid was conducted under the orders of Commodore Paul Nimmyel, with Captain Idongesit Udoessien representing him.

The suspects and confiscated items were subsequently handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and prosecution.
