NDLEA Nabs Ex-Convict for Smuggling Drug Concealed in Music Speakers

The arrest, which highlights a worrying trend of repeat drug offenders slipping back into international trafficking networks, was made public in a statement by NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday.
Accompanied by a revealing video clip of the illicit consignment, the agency wrote: “Narco-trend update: From being convicted and jailed in Asia for drug offences to being a trans-border trafficker back home. This is the story of the brain behind the concealment in this video as uncovered by #ndlea_nigeria officers. What a recidivist!”
The incident underscores NDLEA’s ongoing battle against the global drug trade and the resilience of traffickers who, even after serving time abroad, return to familiar criminal paths.
