Renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Abdur Rasheed Hadiyyatullah Dies
The President of the Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria, Sheikh Abdur Rasheed Hadiyyatullah Iwo, has passed away.
The respected Islamic cleric, who also served as the Director of Sheikh Ibn Baz Shariah College of Nigeria until his death, died on Monday.
A statement released by the management of the college confirmed his demise, describing Sheikh Hadiyyatullah Iwo as a devout scholar who dedicated his life to Islamic teachings and community guidance.

“We announce with deep sorrow the death of Sheikh Abdur Rasheed Hadiyyatullah Iwo. He was a beacon of knowledge, humility, and devotion. His contributions to the propagation of Islam, particularly through dawah and education, will be dearly missed,” the statement read.
“We pray to Allah (SWT) to forgive him, grant him mercy, and reward him with Jannatul Firdaws. May Allah also grant his family, students, and the entire Muslim community the strength to bear this loss,” the statement concluded.
Sheikh Hadiyyatullah Iwo was widely respected for his teachings, spiritual leadership, and unwavering commitment to Islamic scholarship across Nigeria.
