Authorities urged the public to disregard panic-inducing messages circulating on social media, warning against the spread of misinformation that could incite fear among residents.
“All military facilities in Maiduguri remain secure and operational. Our troops are fully alert and in control of the situation. There is no cause for alarm,” the sources reassured.
