Acknowledging the efforts of individuals across age groups and professions, Tinubu saluted entrepreneurs, civil servants, and private sector employees for their roles in sustaining communities and advancing national development.
“Here’s to everyone—young and old, entrepreneur or employee, public or private sector—whose meaningful contributions help shape our homes, communities, and our dear nation,” he added.
President Tinubu’s tribute came against the backdrop of his administration’s ongoing economic reforms aimed at improving living conditions through infrastructure upgrades, social investment programs, and labour-friendly initiatives.
The Workers’ Day message also aligns with broader government efforts to promote inclusive growth, job creation, and stronger engagement with labour unions, especially at a time when rising inflation and living costs have placed increasing pressure on working families.
As Nigerians commemorate May Day, the President’s recognition offers reassurance to a workforce long seen as resilient, adaptable, and indispensable in the nation’s journey toward economic recovery and long-term stability.
