NAF Strikes Hard: 50 ISWAP Terrorists Killed in Marte Attack
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has declared total air dominance over terrorist-infested regions across the country, intensifying round-the-clock air operations against insurgents, bandits, and other criminal elements.
This renewed offensive is part of a broader strategy to weaken enemy capabilities and reinforce national security through sustained airpower.
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, gave the directive as part of a renewed nationwide push to neutralize threats to internal security through precision air strikes and relentless aerial surveillance.
“Terror will find no sanctuary, day or night,” Air Marshal Abubakar vowed. “Our eyes are everywhere, and our resolve is unshaken. Wherever they hide, we will find them. And when we do, we will strike with precision.”
The ramped-up operations span the Northeast, Northwest, North Central, Southeast, and South-South regions, with the NAF coordinating closely with ground troops in joint task force theatres such as Operation HADIN KAI.

He said the recent failed attack by ISWAP fighters on New Marte, Borno State, starkly illustrated the effectiveness of NAF’s heightened operations.

Recall that in the early hours of May 24, insurgents attempted to storm the town using motorcycles and a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED).
The assault was swiftly repelled by NAF aircraft, guided by real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) feeds.
“The night offers no more cover for enemies of the state,” the CAS affirmed, noting that NAF aircraft are now equipped with advanced night vision capabilities. “Our platforms fly with enhanced precision, regardless of the hour.”
Following the initial strike, additional sorties were conducted as the terrorists attempted to regroup.
These follow-up strikes reportedly neutralised over 50 insurgents, delivering what officials described as a “crippling blow” to their operational capacity and morale.
He noted that information gathered from local sources, said panic has spread among terrorist cells, with many foot soldiers abandoning their positions due to the fear of what they call “sudden death from above.”
“We have not only denied them freedom of movement, we have shattered their illusion of nighttime safety,” Air Marshal Abubakar said.
He reaffirmed the NAF’s unwavering commitment to national security and assured citizens of continued vigilance.
“To every Nigerian, rest assured. Your Air Force is vigilant. We are watching, we are flying, and we are striking. From Kalabalge to Rann, from Damboa to New Marte, we own the skies. And as long as we do, terror will find no rest, day or night.”
