58 Inmates in Kano Sit for 2025 NECO Exams, Thanks to State Government
Kano, Nigeria – Fifty-eight inmates across various custodial facilities in Kano State are currently taking the 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). This initiative, aimed at rehabilitating and reintegrating inmates, was made possible by the Kano State Government, which covered all registration fees.

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), Kano State Command, announced this “milestone achievement,” highlighting the state government’s commitment to the welfare and reformation of inmates.
Musbahu Kofar Nasarawa, the Public Relations Officer for the NCS Kano State Command, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. “This gesture will go a long way in boosting the morale of the inmates and providing them with a second chance at education and a brighter future,” Nasarawa stated.
The NCS Kano State Command reiterated its dedication to creating an environment conducive for the rehabilitation and reformation of inmates, acknowledging the crucial support from the Kano State Government in this ongoing effort.
