Troops Clear Boko Haram Strongholds in Borno, Eliminate Terrorists, Recover Arms

Troops of the 7 Division, Sector 1 of Operation Hadin Kai, have successfully cleared Boko Haram terrorist hideouts in Tangalanga and Bula Marwa, located in Borno State, PRNigeria reports.

The operation, conducted on July 7, was based on credible intelligence indicating the presence of Boko Haram (JAS) elements in the area. Military sources confirmed that the troops launched a clearance offensive targeting these identified enclaves.

During the initial advance into Tangalanga, troops encountered and neutralized two terrorists. Acting on further intelligence, the team advanced towards Bula Marwa, where a significant gathering of insurgents had been reported.

Upon sighting the troops near Bula Marwa, the terrorists fled in various directions. One of the fleeing insurgents was gunned down during pursuit, while the troops succeeded in destroying several key structures within the terrorist camp.

The sources confirmed that there were no casualties on the side of the Nigerian forces during the operation.

Recovered items from the operation include six AK-47 rifle magazines, 90 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and a Boko Haram flag, further affirming the successful disruption of the terror group’s activities in the region.
