HOW TO APPLY: Board Reopens Recruitment Portal for Civil Defence, Immigration, Other Services
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially reopened its recruitment portal following a temporary suspension caused by technical difficulties.
In a statement released on Monday, the board confirmed that the issues affecting the recruitment platform have been fully resolved and apologized to applicants for the inconvenience.
“We sincerely apologize for the interruption in the application process. Due to the overwhelming volume of submissions, we had to upgrade the portal to enhance its performance and ensure a seamless, transparent, and equitable recruitment process,” the statement read.
The recruitment exercise covers four key paramilitary agencies under the board’s supervision: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

Reaffirming its commitment to merit-based selection, the CDCFIB commended the patriotism and enthusiasm shown by Nigerians eager to contribute to national security and emergency services.
“We appreciate the passion of young Nigerians who wish to serve the nation through these vital agencies. The board remains committed to a fair and transparent recruitment process,” the statement added.
Addressing concerns raised by applicants about missing local government areas (LGAs) in the portal’s dropdown menu, the CDCFIB acknowledged the issue and assured that immediate corrective measures are being taken.
“Some applicants were unable to proceed due to missing or unlisted LGAs. We are currently working to rectify this and ensure all areas are included,” the board stated.
Interested applicants are advised to complete their applications promptly and monitor the portal for updates and further instructions regarding the recruitment process.
