Nigerian Navy Graduates 2025 Set of Young Sailors in Akwa Ibom

The Nigerian Navy on Saturday celebrated the passing-out parade of the 2025 set of Young Sailors at its training school in Ikot Ntuen, Akwa Ibom State, marking a new milestone in the grooming of future naval personnel.

The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, represented at the ceremony by the Chief of Administration of the Nigerian Navy School, Rear Admiral Gabriel Aligwe, congratulated the graduating class for successfully completing their training. He described their journey as the beginning of a rewarding career in the military, urging them to remain resilient, disciplined, and focused as they take on new roles in service to the nation.

“My advice to them is to continue to pursue their dreams and stay resilient. Many of them will be absorbed into the military—some into the Nigerian Defence Academy and others into the Nigerian Navy. The training they have received is meant to give them proper grounding for a rewarding career in the military,” Ogalla said.

He emphasized that the training provided at the Nigerian Navy School was designed not just to instill technical competence, but also the values of dedication, patriotism, and discipline that define the naval profession.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ubong Umoh, also saluted the efforts of the new sailors. He encouraged them to uphold the virtues of discipline, hard work, and integrity as they step into larger responsibilities.

“With the quality of facilities available in this school, I have no doubt you have been well-groomed and equipped with the potential to succeed in society. Remain determined in your educational pursuits and shun all vices, as they will only attract negative consequences,” the governor advised.

The passing-out parade showcased the parade drills and discipline of the young sailors, highlighting their readiness to contribute to national security and maritime stability.
