Lagos Police Intercept Vehicle Loaded with Cannabis
Operatives of the Ojo Division of the Lagos State Police Command have recovered a Toyota Sienna vehicle containing bags of substances suspected to be cannabis and other exhibits during a routine stop-and-search operation.
The incident occurred on August 15, 2025, when officers on patrol stopped an ash-coloured Toyota Sienna for routine checks. However, while being asked to present his identification and vehicle documents, the driver suddenly fled the scene with the car key, abandoning the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle uncovered two bags of suspected cannabis, one army jungle hat, and two ATM cards. The recovered items, alongside the vehicle, have been transferred to the Special Squad 2 of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, for further investigation.
Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, commended the alertness of the Ojo Division operatives. He assured the public that efforts are underway to track down the fleeing suspect.
Jimoh further reiterated the Command’s commitment to intensifying patrols and intelligence-driven policing across the state, urging Lagos residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies.
