A substantial quantity of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) and Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK) was also discovered during the raid.
The entire setup was destroyed on-site to prevent further use by oil thieves.
The Navy emphasized that the operation was part of Operation DELTA SANITY, a sustained campaign aimed at denying criminal networks the resources and infrastructure used in oil theft, while deterring future illegal activities in the region.
Reaffirming its resolve, the Navy pledged to remain undeterred in the fight against crude oil theft and illegal refining, describing the menace as a major threat to Nigeria’s economy, environment, and energy security.
