NIPR Inducts 422 New Members, Urges Commitment to National Unity
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on Friday inducted 422 new members into the Institute, including 331 who were admitted directly at its 3rd Quarter 2025 induction ceremony in Abuja.
The ceremony, held at Bolingo Hotel Xperia, was presided over by the NIPR President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, who charged the new members to see communication as a force for unity and development.
“As you join the Institute, I enjoin you to always place national interest above every other consideration. Use communication to unite and not divide, to build and not destroy,” Dr. Neliaku said.

In his goodwill message, the Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mallam Jibrin Baba-Ndace, urged the inductees to be deliberate in their use of communication and to consistently project the country in a positive light rather than condemn it.
Also addressing the inductees, the Chairman of the Conference of Public Relations Professionals in Tertiary Institutions Committee, Dr. Peter Oyeneye, who delivered the induction orientation lecture, encouraged them to remain active in their respective NIPR Chapters.0
He stressed that consistent participation of the inductees in NIPR’s activities was essential for professional growth.
The admission of the new members, NIPR said, represents another milestone in its drive to strengthen professionalism in public relations practice in Nigeria and uphold the highest ethical standards in the engagement of practitioners with the public.
