Police to Recruit 10,000 Men
In his address the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim K. Idris NPM, mni ably represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command DCP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, expressed his appreciation to His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, for approving the recruitment of 6,000 Police Officers and providing the funds and the enabling platform to run the their training.
He equally appreciate the Federal Government for approving the recruitment of another 10,000 Policemen in its effort to meet up with United Nation recommendation of 1 Police to 400 people in which advertorials have since been opened for interested Nigerians to apply.

In his final remarks, the IGP, charged the newly passed out Police Constables to be deligent, selfless, patriotic and urged them to constantly refresh their newly acquired skills by putting all what they have learnt in to practice on the field in order to uphold the highest level of discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their statutory duties. He warned them, as Policemen they must have respect to the rule of law, fundamental human rights, loyalty to the Nation and the Force must be resolute and total. He equally encouraged them to toe the line of honour and shun acts capable of tarnishing the image of the Force as there is no place for corrupt, indolent and disgruntled officers because erring officers will continue to receive commensurate punishments.
The occasion was graced by the wife of Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Training Department Hajiya Ruqayya Sani Usman, Senior Police Officers, Government officials, representatives of Sister Security Agencies, Religious and Traditional leaders, other dignitaries and the families and friends of the newly Constables.
The clamour of the event was successful and ended peacefully amid cheers from families, friends and well wishers of the newly Constables.
