NDA Alerts Residents Ahead of Cadets’ Shooting Exercise in Kaduna

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, has cautioned residents of Afaka, Kauya, Tsamiya, and Mando communities to stay away from its open range area during a scheduled shooting exercise.

This advisory was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, Major Mohammed Maidawa.

According to the statement, the NDA will conduct a Range Management Package Shooting Exercise for cadets of the 73 Regular Course (Army) from Tuesday, October 28, to Friday, November 7, 2025, at its open range in Afaka.

He assured residents that all necessary safety measures had been put in place to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the exercise.

“The NDA assures the general public that adequate safety precautions have been taken for the successful conduct of the exercise. Please accept the highest consideration and esteemed regards of the Commandant, NDA, Major-General Abdul Ibrahim,” the statement added.

The Academy urged members of the public to comply with the advisory to avoid unnecessary exposure to danger during the exercise.
