NAF, NDC Strengthen Ties to Bolster Strategic Military Education
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) unwavering commitment to supporting the National Defence College (NDC) in its mandate to train and develop strategic-level officers for national and international assignments.
Air Marshal Aneke made this known when the Commandant of the College, Rear Admiral Abdullahi Ahmed, paid him a courtesy visit at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja.

The Air Chief described the NDC as a critical institution in shaping the leadership, policy, and operational capacity of Nigeria’s Armed Forces and other security agencies. He commended the Commandant for his visionary leadership and for sustaining the College’s culture of academic excellence, assuring that the NAF would continue, within available resources, to provide the necessary support to enable the College discharge its responsibilities effectively.
“The National Defence College remains a vital pillar in our quest for enhanced strategic leadership and inter-service cooperation. The Nigerian Air Force remains fully committed to supporting its mission in producing capable and forward-thinking officers,” the CAS stated.
Earlier, Rear Admiral Ahmed expressed appreciation to the Air Chief for his continued partnership and goodwill, noting that his visit aimed to strengthen the long-standing collaboration between the NAF and the NDC. He thanked the CAS for approving the use of NAF aircraft to convey participants on the College’s recent study tour, describing the gesture as both timely and impactful.
Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing professional military education, strategic cooperation, and national security objectives through deeper institutional collaboration.
