Fugitive Suspect in Killing of FRSC Officer, Daughter Extradited to Nigeria
The Nigeria Police Force has taken custody of a fugitive suspect, Victor Benjamin Fejemirokun, who allegedly abducted and murdered a female Federal Road Safety Corps officer and her young daughter in Osun State.
Fejemirokun, who fled Nigeria after the incident, was arrested by the Ghana Police Service in Accra following credible intelligence that he was hiding within their jurisdiction. He was handed over to operatives of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), Abuja, on Monday after a coordinated multi-agency operation between the two countries.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the arrest and transfer were effected after the Ghanaian authorities notified Nigeria of the suspect’s presence.
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, commiserated with the bereaved family and assured that the case would be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted. He also lauded the Ghana Police Service for its professionalism and cooperation in ensuring the fugitive’s swift arrest and handover.
The Nigeria Police said the development underscores its commitment to protecting citizens and pursuing offenders across borders while strengthening international partnerships to combat transnational crimes.
