In a statement, the ADG highlighted the pivotal role played by PRNigeria, an initiative of Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), in building capacity for spokespersons and communication professionals across the country, with significant impact in the North.

He specifically noted the success of the fellowship program: “Their fellowship program, which has earned the prestigious endorsement of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), is a testament to its global standards and local relevance. We are particularly gratified by its deliberate focus on empowering northern professionals.”
The ADG underscored the strategic importance of PRNigeria’s operational centres in the northern part of the country, namely Abuja, Ilorin, and Kano.
Mallam Ibrahim Dandakata, Public Relations Officer of the ADG, emphasized the role of these centers: “The establishment and active operation of PRNigeria centres in Abuja… Ilorin, a central intellectual hub; and Kano, the commercial heartbeat of the North, demonstrate a profound understanding of our region’s dynamics. These centres are not just offices; they are academies producing communicators who can articulate policies, manage reputations, and counter misinformation with facts.”
The ADG also lauded the annual National Spokespersons’ Awards, organized by the same stable, for setting a gold standard in recognizing excellence in public communication.
The group urged other corporate and development organizations to emulate PRNigeria’s model of investing in human capital and institutional strength within the region, reiterating its commitment to partnering with and supporting such initiatives.
The statement was signed by Mallam Ibrahim Dandakata, Public Relations Officer for the Arewa Discussion Group.
