NAF Airstrikes Eliminate Terrorists, Destroy Logistics Hub in Borno
The Nigerian Air Force has recorded another operational success following precision airstrikes on a key terrorist enclave at Dabar Masara in the Southern Tumbuns of Borno State, neutralising insurgents and destroying their logistics assets.
The operation was carried out on December 14, 2025, by the Air Component of the Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI, as part of sustained efforts to degrade terrorist capabilities in the North-East.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.
According to Ejodame, coordinated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions conducted ahead of the operation revealed persistent terrorist movements and a heavy concentration of vehicles concealed under vegetation, indicating that the area was being used as an active logistics hub.
He explained that credible intelligence also pointed to the presence of a terrorist workshop and continuous manoeuvring of armed elements within the location, prompting the deployment of an integrated force package for a precision air interdiction mission.

“Acting on credible intelligence indicating the presence of a terrorist workshop and sustained movement of armed elements, the Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI conducted coordinated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions alongside strike operations,” the statement said.
Further surveillance on the day of the strike confirmed the presence of terrorists operating around the identified vehicles. Following positive identification and in strict adherence to the Rules of Engagement, the targets were engaged.
A post-operation battle damage assessment confirmed the destruction of the vehicles and the neutralisation of terrorist elements.
Ejodame noted that the successful operation underscored the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to intelligence-driven and precision air operations in support of national efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and improve security across affected regions.
The Southern Tumbuns, a vast marshland surrounding Lake Chad, has long served as a major hideout for terrorist groups in the North-East, with Nigerian troops sustaining both air and ground operations in the area to curb insurgent activities.
