Troops Intercept ISWAP Logistics Vehicles in Yobe–Borno Axis
Troops of Sector 2 of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have intercepted two pickup vans suspected to be conveying logistics supplies meant for the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Security sources disclosed that the operation was executed following credible human intelligence indicating the movement of suspected logistics from Dapchi through the Magumeri general area.
According to the sources, the vehicles were successfully intercepted during the operation, while the drivers were arrested and taken into custody for further interrogation.

Items recovered from the two vehicles included 31 spare tyres, 23 spare rims, two bicycles, 12 ignition key starters, three alternators, two bags of flour, one mattress, five bags of charcoal, 34 tubers of yam, two blankets, nylon bags containing garri, assorted adult and children’s clothing, one power bank, six mobile phones, and a cash sum of N92,600.
The sources added that both the vehicles and recovered items are currently in military custody, while investigations are ongoing to determine the level of involvement of the suspects and establish possible links to ISWAP’s logistics supply network.
The troops, the sources noted, remain resolute in their commitment to disrupting supply routes to terrorist groups and sustaining pressure on criminal elements within their area of responsibility.
