The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Kaduna State Government on hosting of the 3rd edition of Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW).

Speaking at the event in Abuja, NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, said the annual gathering of communication professionals and policymakers taking place from 19th – 25th April, 2026 in Kaduna is strategically designed to focus on a critical area of the economy—agricultural sector, noting that food security brings solution to other challenges facing the nation.

The NIPR boss said the week-long event which will attract over 2,000 participants from across the country and beyond will leave a positive mark on the reputation of the state; while lauding the State Governor, Sen. Uba Sani for positioning the state as a model for good governance through his people-oriented policies that foster unity and inclusion.

In his remarks, the Governor described the NPRW event as one of the most important programmes to be hosted in Kaduna, assurring that the state government will provide maximum support to ensure a successful outing.

Governor Sani said that the theme – “Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plate; the Imperatives of Public Relations” aligns with his government’s commitment to create jobs, enhance social security and boost Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) through the agriculture value chain.

“We are glad that you are going beyond hosting an event to organising training for our traditional institutions in communication dynamics, building the capacity of government functionaries, and holding citizens engagement. This shows that you are indeed interested in contributing to the growth of our state”, he stated.

Earlier, Chairman of National Planning Committee of the NPRW, Chief Yomi Badejo-Okusanya stated that the state will derive a lot of benefits, including exposure as a choice investment destination and improved scorecard on food security.
