Lagos Police Tighten Security on Mile 12–Ketu Route Following Robbery Alerts
The Lagos State Police Command has directed intensified security measures along the Mile 12–Ketu corridor following reports of robbery attacks targeting motorists in the area.
The alert emerged on social media when an X (formerly Twitter) user, @lollypeezle, reported that armed youths were attacking vehicles along the busy route. The user stated, “At Mile 12 this morning, boys were robbing cars with cutlasses. They even tried to force open my guy’s door. Between Mile 12 and Ketu, there are two police stations, yet we have the most notorious boys in that axis.”

In response, the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olohundare Jimoh, had ordered the Area Commander, Divisional Police Officer, and Tactical Team responsible for the corridor to strengthen patrols and surveillance to prevent further incidents.
