Tinubu Hails Aliko Dangote at 69, Lauds Industrial Impact, Philanthropy
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Africa’s foremost industrialist, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, on the occasion of his birthday, praising his contributions to Nigeria and the continent’s economic and industrial transformation.
In a statement issued on Friday, April 10, by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Dangote as a key driver of large-scale industrial growth whose investments have strengthened manufacturing capacity across Africa.
Tinubu commended the business leadership of Aliko Dangote, noting that his entrepreneurial vision, resilience, and innovation have reshaped critical sectors, particularly cement production and petrochemicals.

He specifically referenced the establishment of the multi-billion-dollar Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical complex, alongside cement operations across multiple African countries, as landmark achievements that have enhanced Nigeria’s position in global industrial value chains.
The President further highlighted Dangote’s role in job creation, infrastructure development, and sustained confidence in the Nigerian economy, describing him as a model of African enterprise whose achievements continue to inspire emerging entrepreneurs.
Tinubu also praised the humanitarian work of the Dangote Foundation, noting its interventions in healthcare delivery, education support, and poverty reduction initiatives across communities.
“As Aliko marks another year, I pray for his continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments in service to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity,” the President stated.
