Tinubu Swears in Darma as Housing Minister, Harps on National Development
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday swore in Dr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma as Minister of Housing and Urban Development, following his confirmation by the Senate.
Dr. Darma replaces Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, who recently resigned from the position.
The brief ceremony, held at the State House in Abuja, saw the President charge the new minister to deploy his experience toward addressing the country’s housing and urban development challenges.
Describing the appointment as coming at a critical period, Tinubu said the administration requires capable and experienced individuals to drive its development agenda.
“You have a very rich and interesting background. As a leader, we need competent hands like yours,” the President said, expressing confidence in Darma’s capacity to deliver. He added that the new minister should remain prepared to serve in any capacity required in the national interest.
