Emporium Reporters Marks 10th Anniversary with Leadership Lecture, Awards in Abuja
Royalprince Media Services, publishers of Emporium Reporters, Emporium Magazine and Emporium Online TV, has announced plans to host the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters.
The event, scheduled for June 25, 2026, in Abuja, is aimed at celebrating outstanding leadership, institutional excellence and notable contributions to national development across various sectors.
Organisers said the lecture, themed “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy,” will examine the growing influence of digital media in promoting responsible journalism, credible information dissemination, accountability and democratic governance.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Akinlabi Dare, CON, FNIS, will chair the event, while the Publisher of World Entourage Magazine, Abdullahi O. Haruna (Haruspice), is expected to deliver the keynote address.
The programme will also feature an array of distinguished public officials, media professionals and policy leaders, including the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, who will attend as Special Guest of Honour.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu; the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu; the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Chief Tony Ojukwu, SAN, OFR; and the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.
As part of the anniversary celebration, several individuals and organisations will be honoured for exceptional leadership, public service, professional excellence and contributions to national development.

Among the award recipients are ACC John Attah Onoja, National Commander of the Mining Marshals of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC); Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Adekunle Balogun, Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocol at the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM); CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service; Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, OFR, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry; and Comrade Grace Ike, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council.
Others slated for recognition include Fame Foundation for its advocacy on gender issues and social impact; Dr. Wisdom Enang, energy consultant; Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, former member of the House of Representatives; Dr. Innocent Odey, Founder of InnoBec Business School; Ambrose Omordion, Chief Operating Officer of InvestData Consulting Limited; and Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON).
Speaking on the significance of the event, the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Royalprince Media Services, Lukman Laleye Babalola, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to promoting credible journalism, responsible leadership and sustainable national development.
According to him, the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters represents a major milestone in the organisation’s journey of impactful reporting, public engagement and service to society.
Babalola noted that the lecture would provide a platform for robust discussions on the future of digital journalism and its role in strengthening democratic institutions, while the awards segment would celebrate individuals and organisations making meaningful contributions to governance, public service and societal development.
The event will also feature the unveiling of a Special 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition of Emporium Magazine, highlighting the achievements of prominent personalities and institutions that have distinguished themselves in their respective fields.
The Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 is expected to attract top government officials, media executives, corporate leaders, policymakers, civil society actors and communication professionals from across the country.
Organisers described the event as a unique platform for recognising excellence, fostering dialogue on media credibility and reaffirming the vital role of journalism in Nigeria’s democratic and developmental journey.
