Operation FANSAN YAMMA Troops Eliminate 2 Terrorists, Recover Communication Devices in Kebbi
Troops of Sector 2 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have neutralised two suspected terrorists and recovered a motorcycle and a Baofeng handheld radio during a clearance operation in Mokurata, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The operation, which followed credible intelligence on the activities of suspected terrorists in the area, was aimed at preventing the criminal elements from carrying out further attacks.

Military sources said the troops swiftly deployed to Mokurata, where they encountered the suspects. On sighting the advancing troops, the terrorists reportedly attempted to flee but were engaged by the security forces.
The ensuing operation resulted in the neutralisation of two suspected terrorists, while a motorcycle and a Baofeng handheld radio believed to have been used for communication by the group were recovered at the scene.
The latest success is part of the ongoing offensive by Operation FANSAN YAMMA to dismantle terrorist networks and deny criminal elements freedom of movement across the North-West region.
Military authorities said troops have sustained aggressive operations across the area as part of intensified efforts to restore lasting peace and improve security for residents of Kebbi State and neighbouring communities.
