Troops Intercept 10 Motorcycles Bound for Terrorist Kingpin, Arrest 4 Logistics Suppliers in Kebbi
Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have intercepted a consignment of 10 motorcycles allegedly being transported to a suspected terrorist kingpin and arrested four suspected logistics suppliers during an intelligence-led operation in Kebbi State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 3:00 p.m. on July 19 by troops of the 8 General Task Force Battalion deployed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Walkam.
According to the sources, the troops acted on credible intelligence and intercepted a white commercial bus conveying the motorcycles along the Biu–Kangiwa Road in Arewa Dandi Local Government Area.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the motorcycles were allegedly being transported for delivery to Mallam Gehowa, a suspected notorious terrorist kingpin operating in the Amogoro axis, where they were believed to be intended to enhance the mobility of his criminal network.
The operation also led to the arrest of four suspected terrorist logistics suppliers, believed to be associates of the suspected kingpin who had reportedly been mobilised to receive the motorcycles.
The suspects, together with the intercepted motorcycles and other recovered items, were handed over to the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kebbi State for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Military sources said the successful operation forms part of the sustained counter-terrorism campaign under Operation FANSAN YAMMA aimed at dismantling terrorist logistics and support networks, disrupting supply chains, and denying armed groups the resources required to sustain their operations across the North-West.
