2027: Yahaya Bello Mobilises North Central A4A Coordinators for Tinubu’s Re-election
Former Kogi State Governor and newly appointed Deputy National Coordinator, North Central, of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A), Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, has commenced mobilisation across the geopolitical zone for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Bello, whose appointment was ratified by the A4A National Secretariat, held his inaugural strategic meeting with state coordinators and other regional stakeholders in Abuja on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
The meeting brought together coordinators from Kogi, Benue, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, and marked the commencement of the group’s operational activities across the North Central zone.
Addressing participants, Bello directed the coordinators to intensify grassroots mobilisation and political engagement in support of Tinubu and the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He described Arewa for Asiwaju as a platform for promoting regional unity, political stability and development, saying its mobilisation strategy must reach voters at the community level.
According to him, the organisation would pursue closer collaboration with political leaders and state governments across the North Central to strengthen coordination between its grassroots structures and political stakeholders.
Bello said he would leverage his relationships with governors in the region to facilitate cooperation between the A4A structures and political leadership in the respective states.
He also commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for efforts towards maintaining party unity and discipline.

The former governor praised Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for what he described as his efforts in promoting cooperation among state executives and strengthening regional collaboration.
Bello similarly commended the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for his contributions to national security and stability, which he said were important to democratic participation and peaceful political mobilisation.
He directed A4A state chapters to adopt a bottom-up mobilisation strategy encompassing wards, polling units and communities throughout the zone.
The coordinators were also instructed to align their activities with guidelines from the Northern Projects Coordination Office in Abuja.
Bello said the organisation would engage traditional rulers, community stakeholders, youth leaders and other groups as part of efforts to broaden political participation and sustain support for the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking on behalf of the North Central coordinators, the FCT Coordinator of A4A, Alhaji Shittu Mohammed, expressed confidence in Bello’s leadership of the organisation in the region.
Mohammed cited the former governor’s experience in political mobilisation and pledged the cooperation of coordinators across the zone in implementing the organisation’s programmes.
The group announced that civic and grassroots outreach activities would commence across the six North Central states and the FCT following resolutions reached at the Abuja meeting.
