FRSC, Army Strengthen Partnership on Training, Security
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has sought stronger collaboration with the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police (NACMP) in training, security, discipline and conflict management as part of efforts to enhance national safety and security.
The Corps Provost of the FRSC, Headquarters Abuja, Corps Commander Livinus S. Audu, made the call on Thursday, September 10, 2026, during a courtesy visit to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police.
Audu said the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the two organisations and establishing a more strategic partnership to advance their complementary roles in promoting national safety and security.
He said the FRSC Provost Office had benefited significantly from military training and professional engagements over the years, particularly in discipline, administration and investigations.
According to him, the Corps was interested in expanding the relationship through additional training programmes, seminars and workshops with the Army Military Police to improve the professional competence and institutional capacity of its personnel.

Responding, the Provost Marshal (Army), Major General Mathias Erebulu, welcomed the visit and stressed the importance of inter-agency cooperation, intelligence sharing and sustained professional interaction in addressing Nigeria’s complex security and safety challenges.
Erebulu said no single service or organisation could effectively tackle the country’s multifaceted security challenges alone, making collaboration and the sharing of complementary capabilities imperative.
He described discipline as the bedrock of every organisation and assured the FRSC of the readiness of the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police to support relevant capacity-building initiatives, subject to necessary approvals.
The Army Provost Marshal also noted that both organisations had complementary responsibilities and could benefit from each other’s expertise in areas including traffic management, security, discipline and emerging operational challenges.
The engagement ended with both organisations reaffirming their commitment to deepening inter-agency cooperation, strengthening professional capacity and leveraging their respective capabilities in support of national safety and security.
The visit was attended by the Chief of Staff, Headquarters NACMP, principal staff officers of the headquarters and officers of the FRSC.
The highlight of the engagement was the presentation of a memento by the visiting FRSC delegation, followed by a group photograph.
