Emir of Ilorin Congratulates Jani Ibrahim on Election as FEWACCI President
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has congratulated the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, on his election as President of the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI).
Ibrahim, a Kwara-born businessman and industrialist, emerged following a keenly contested election at the 11th Annual General Meeting of FEWACCI held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
In a goodwill message issued on Saturday by his spokesman, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir described Ibrahim’s emergence as a significant honour for Kwara State and Nigeria.
Sulu-Gambari said the election reflected Ibrahim’s leadership experience, integrity, strategic vision and commitment to private-sector development and economic growth.

The monarch noted that Ibrahim’s leadership of NACCIMA had brought renewed vigour to the organised private sector, expressing confidence that his new regional position would provide another platform to advance economic cooperation across West Africa.
“We are confident that he will use this platform to champion intra-West African trade, promote enterprise growth and strengthen regional economic cooperation for shared prosperity,” the Emir said.
He described the elevation as a proud moment for Kwara State, noting that Ibrahim would now have an opportunity to contribute more directly to strengthening collaboration among chambers of commerce and businesses across the West African sub-region.
FEWACCI serves as a regional platform bringing together chambers of commerce and industry across West Africa to promote private-sector cooperation, trade and economic integration.
The Emir prayed for wisdom, good health and a successful tenure for the new FEWACCI president, expressing hope that his leadership would bring further honour to Kwara State, Nigeria and the wider West African region.
